Beautiful and important three-drawer crossbow trouser chest from the first third of the 18th century. It was made of very beautiful walnut, thick and nicely veined. The decoration of the contest in a gendarme's hat with a double projection. The front corners are highlighted by a triple molding with a wavy effect, which adds to the curved movement of the entire facade and recalls the type of Mazarine chest of drawers from the same period. Some slight repairs, including the right rear corner of the top, as is customary in authentically antique castle furniture. It should be noted that the drawer handles were changed during the reign of Louis XVI, in an attempt to rejuvenate the piece of furniture and make it fashionable.
