"Portrait Of A Man Painted On Paper"
Portrait of a man painted on paper around 1970 signed Suzon de Panafieu 1903-1981 She enrolled in the early 1920s at the Académie d'André l'Hote in Paris. She exhibited at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux Arts in 1933. In 1957, fascinated by the arts of the Far East, she swapped canvas for paper and oil for Indian ink, which she embellished with colors. During the 1970s, Jacueline de Panafieu returned to figuration, introducing a face and a hand into swirling arabesques.
