Exceptional pair of ceremonial candelabra in gilded bronze with 9 arms ; attributed to the workshop of Pierre Philippe Thomire.Pierre Philippe Thomire (1754 - 1853) is the most important Parisian bronzier of the last quarter of the 18th century and the first decades of the century.
This pair of gigantic candelabra are of superior quality , finely chiseled with their mercury gilding of his time.
The candelabra have been electrified in the 19th century ; the base and arms are pierced.
Empire period ; a French work around 1800.
Height = 94.5 cm !!!
