Empire "helmet" Clock

Very rare model with an unusual decoration and architecture.
Entirely in bronze, covered with a beautiful matte and shiny mercury gilding. The sculpture and chiseling is of excellent quality, precise and very fine.
Gilded bronze decoration of a dragon helmet decorated in gilding with a headdress and a mask of Medusa.
A small Eros giving the impression of coming out of the helmet, he holds an arrow and a bow. White enamel dial accompanied by beautiful finely chiseled and worked gilded hands. The clock rests on a first base with moving feet chiseled with channels and rocases, in the center of a drapery chiseled with swords. The second base is decorated with friezes of quiver bows and ribboned arrow, in the center lightning of Zeus centered with a shield and ram's head, on the sides friezes of palmettes.

Empire period , a French work circa 1800 - 1810.

The clock is in good original condition (unrestored).
The mechanism is in working order.
