"Pair Of Early 19th Century Silver Children's Shoe Buckles "
Rare pair of shoe buckles for a small child in solid silver. They are decorated with a double row of imitation pearls and a fine cord. They are hallmarked on the loop, with a master's mark and a guarantee which seems to be the rooster, although very difficult to decipher. If adults could afford such coquetry, it is much rarer to offer this pleasure to a child at this time. Also ideal for completing and decorating the shoes of a large 19th century doll.
