Richard Durando-Togo is a painter of Argentine origin born in 1910 who spent most of his life in Italy and France where he settled permanently in 1934. In 1968, Richard received the Grand Prix international de la peinture. He is a self-taught artist with a very personal style, a painting of light and shadow. He was a prolific painter who created oil paintings of gypsy dances and musical scenes, market scenes, portraits of women with hats, nudes and still life paintings in bright colors
