"1700. Portrait Attributed To Ranc."
Portrait of Guillaume Colondres, rector and treasurer of the General Hospital of Montpellier from 1689. "Councillor of the King, assessor of the first rank in the Town Hall of Montpellier". This painting was commissioned from the painter Ranc (probably Antoine) by the general hospice of Montpellier "to be placed in the boys' refectory with the other benefactors". Condition: in its original condition, old restorations, some losses, frame nailed to the canvas (see Photographs). This painting has many similarities with this other portrait by Antoine Ranc, representing Monseigneur Joachim de Colberts kept at the Musée Fabre in Montpellier.
