"Empire Portico Clock Gilt Bronze Palmettes Swans Fountain 19th Century"
Skeleton or portico type clock in finely chiseled and guilloché gilded bronze, decorated with two swans drinking from a fountain with tiers on the top, enameled dial with Roman numerals framed by two flower vases, uprights in the shape of large openwork palmettes, cockerel movement signed Claude Bernard in St-Jean, from the 1st Empire period, early 19th century. This clock is in good general condition, good quality. The cockerel movement works. Please note: some accidents on the enamel of the dial, a repair on the bronze under the dial (see red arrow), the feet are slightly twisted, wear of time, see photos.
