Wedding Handkerchief Encrypted Gd - Valenciennes Bobbin Lace And Linen - Late 19th Century

Lovely wedding handkerchief (circa 1880 - 1890) bearing the number GD. Finely executed work whose white embroidery unfolds into a large garland of passion flowers, the heart of which is embellished with extremely delicate decorative stitches. Border with festoons of round-toothed roses highlighted with a very small day and fine Valenciennes lace with square mesh, running around the entire perimeter of the work. Light cream color noticeably more sustained than in the photos: Fine old linen washed and ironed.

Condition : Two tiny pinholes are to be noted in the linen, as well as a very very slight storage mark (see photos).
