DESCRIPTION: Exceptional liqueur cellar in Boulle marquetry on all sides including the back. Poly-curved and poly-lobed shape for this large liqueur cellar. The lock is signed by the famous and prestigious French table maker Alphonse Giroux (Alph. Giroux et Cie PARIS - Giroux's best signature after the 167 Universal Exhibition in Paris). Its omnipresent queen marquetry is composed of mother-of-pearl clovers set with brass quatrefoils. It is decorated with a beautiful and refined ornamentation of gilded bronzes with multiple ingot molds and a central motif on the cover. The glassware is in Baccarat crystal and composed of 4 carafes and 16 matching glasses (note a slightly different but barely visible one). The servant has an original layout with two glasses on the top, 8 around and 6 on the front and the back at the bottom. Truly exceptional piece with its original key in perfect working order.
