"Baccarat - Vase With Dandelion Decor"
Baccarat vase in a Japanese-style shape with an acid-etched base and a hand-enameled, polychrome decoration of dandelion flowers and buds. Similar model reproduced in the book Baccarat by Jean-Louis CurtisThe name of this flower comes from its leaves. In the Middle Ages, in French, the plant was called "dent-de-lion", comparing its leaves with toothed edges to the sharp teeth of the lion. In English, the plant is still called "dandelion", a variant of the French original.
