"Small Walnut Table - Northern Italy - 16th Century"
Elegant small walnut table, from the 16th century, which rests on four turned baluster columns rising on connecting dice decorated with buttons. A square spacer also turned into a baluster connects each leg. A drawer is housed in the belt. The top is bordered by a delightful frieze of palmettes. The turning of the wood and the buttons is characteristic of northern Italy, as is its patina. This table also reflects a fair balance of proportions. The quality of the walnut used adds to its elegance.
