Very pretty subject in white Limoges porcelain representing a hunting dog lying on a terrace. This very beautiful porcelain was made by the Haviland factory in Limoges after a model by Jules Desbois (1851-1935), a very famous sculptor in the years 1880 to 1910, friend of Auguste Rodin and pastellist in the last years of his life. Our statue bears the Haviland France brand in hollow in the dough and under its base, it also bears the Desbois signature in relief on the back of the terrace (see photos).
