He was vice-president of the Colonial Society of French Artists. Member of the French Artists as well as of the National Society of Fine Arts. He received a medal in 1889 and 1900, at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1903. He created decorations for the former Museum of the Colonies in Paris.
