Jean Jacques ROUSSEAU 1861-1911 French School of the 19th century Portrait of the artist's daughter Oil on canvas 126 x 86 cm without frame Good condition Jean Jacques ROUSSEAU was a student of Desportes, Lehmann, Roll and Ribot, he made his debut at the Salon of 1878. He was vice-president of the Colonial Society of French Artists. Member of the French Artists as well as of the National Society of Fine Arts. He received a medal in 1889 and 1900, at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1903. He created decorations for the former Museum of the Colonies in Paris. Museums: BERNE and TOULOUSE
