"End Of The 18th Century Pair Of Neoclassical Overdoor Fries "
This pair of friezes, used as decoration on the door architrave, represents an example of excellent Florentine craftsmanship from the end of the 18th century. The friezes are inspired by classical Renaissance decorations, but have been revised and corrected according to the taste of the time. This means that the details of the friezes have been adapted to the period in which they were made, always respecting the characteristic elements of the Renaissance style. Made of pine wood, the friezes have a solid and elegant structure. Every detail has been taken care of with great precision, demonstrating the mastery of Florentine artisans. The finish of the friezes is truly surprising: painted with rich and lively colours, they were then covered with pure gold leaf. This gave them an intense and precious shimmer, giving them a unique shine that attracts the eye.
