Very good used condition Claudia Bret-Charbonnier began exhibiting at the Salon de la Société lyonnaise des beaux-arts in 1885 and at the Salon d'automne in 1889. She exhibited paintings and watercolors there until 1945, mainly of flowers, as well as pastel portraits. She also regularly participated in several provincial salons, such as that of Roanne in 1890 and Grenoble at the end of the century4 or Nîmes5. She achieved great success in the last years of the century where she produced numerous paintings. She was a member of the Artistes français and the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors. She represented the Lyon painters at the National Agricultural and Horticultural Competition in 1907. She benefited from state acquisitions on two occasions, and was at the head of one of the most popular and prestigious studios in Lyon6, where young girls from good families worked in particular7. At the beginning of the 20th century, she practiced landscapes and flowers in particular.
