An exceptional white wine from one of the oldest wine estates in Bordeaux. Château Carbonnieux, founded at the end of the 14th century (around 1380), is one of the rare châteaux classified in both colors.

Under the direction of Antony Perrin in the 1980s, this estate reached peaks in both red and in white.

About the vintage: This Château Carbonnieux white 2009 is renowned for its crystalline color and its unique aromatic palette. The vines benefit from an exceptional terroir, the clay-limestone terroir of the Garonnaise gravels of Pessac-Léognan, ideal for producing the best dry white wines of Bordeaux.

The traditional blend of 70% Sauvignon and 30% Sémillon gives it great complexity. After aging for up to 10 months, this wine reveals lemony and floral notes on the nose.

On the palate, it seduces with its ample and oily texture, marked by aromas of citrus fruits and roasted hazelnuts. Its pale yellow color testifies to its freshness, and this wine is intended to improve with time.

Ideal to accompany raw or cooked fish, as well as soft cheeses, this great wine deserves a special place in your cellar.
