Terracotta bust of a young woman wearing an empire dress characterized by a very high waist, just under the breasts, muslin dress, hairstyle tied with a bun, typical of this period between 1795 and 1820, our bust is at the hinge of the Directory and the Empire, fashion totally influenced by Joséphine de Beauharnais future empress. Our bust is carried on a marble base.
