Vintage 1999, a prestigious wine classified Grand Cru, in perfect state of conservation.
The Château, whose history dates back to the 16th century with the well-known Sèze family established in Bordeaux, is located in the heart of the Haut-Médoc appellation. On 80 hectares of vineyard, the estate has established itself among the greatest wines of the region,
thanks in particular to the excellent work of Georges Brunet, Jean-Jacques Frey and his daughter Caroline who takes the reins with the advice of her former teacher, oenologist Denis Dubourdieu.
Recognized as one of the five Médoc châteaux to bear the title of Grand Cru Classé,
the Domaine offers exceptional know-how in the service of wine.
The 1999 vintage has an intense color, a deep ruby red on the nose, we find delicate aromas of toasted and vanilla notes, accompanied by a subtle floral touch of violet, characteristic of the Château's wines.
On the palate, this wine offers remarkable suppleness, combining finesse and elegance, with a harmonious structure dominated by ripe fruits and a soft finish, with silky and creamy tannins. It is composed of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. The blend gives a balanced wine. It is aged for 18 months in oak barrels.
Bottle: 75 cl - 13 vol - "Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume in moderation".
The Château La Lagune 1999 red obtained a rating of 2 stars, which corresponds to a remarkable wine. The juries awarded it a Coup de coeur. This wine was noted in the 2003 edition of the Hachette Vins Guide.
A collectible wine that will appeal to lovers of great wines, ready to be tasted or to enrich a prestigious cellar.
