"Small Walnut Sloping Desk, Languedoc, 18th Century."
This small 'donkey's back' or 'slope' desk opens with a 'framed' flap, fitted with a stop and trimmed with braided leather (changed). It is supported by two pulls. The interior, with a curved profile, opens with four drawers, boxes and a secret 'cellar'. The front opens with two drawers, one of which has a key. Between the two: a sculpted floral motif. The four crosspieces are scalloped. The piece of furniture rests on four curved legs, with a shoulder decorated with an acanthus leaf; the same for the tips of the feet with light sabots. Height of the flap: 70cm. Careful and original work from Languedoc, from the 18th century.
