Fernand Lantoine - Orientalist Painting - Morocco

Having become a marine painter in 1922, Fernand LANTOINE then made frequent trips to North Africa, the Belgian Congo, Madagascar, etc.
His Africanist works were very successful.
He participated in numerous exhibitions during his career: Salon des indépendants, Salon des artistes français, etc.
Several institutions own his paintings: Musée national des arts d'Afrique et d'Océanie, Ministère de la Défense, Musée des années 30, etc.

His best works can be negotiated for several tens of thousands of euros ($82,000 for riders in the Aude in southern Morocco)
