Delval is self-taught, he learned painting from street painters and by observing the great masters of Parisian museums.
At 25, he traveled around Europe and the United States with his brushes there, but then returned to live in France in Paris, the city of his heart.
In 1970, André Roussard decided to represent him and organize exhibitions of his paintings, which seduced the public.
Together, they would mount numerous exhibitions in France, the United States and Europe. Robert Delval loves color. With large flat areas, he knows how to play with perspectives and vanishing fields with great technicality, as in our painting.
