Exceptional large cartel and its lamp base in Boulle marquetry called "aux cinq couleurs" In violin form, opening on the front with a glazed bronze door, composed of an openwork rocaille cartouche and topped with a bird. Ornamentation of original chiseled and mercury-gilded bronzes. The lamp base has rocaille falls and a clip and an openwork damping. It rests on feet with rocaille scrolls, extended by natural acanthus leaves, joined by a cartouche, acanthus clips in the upper part and at the top of a large composition of adjoining and openwork acanthus leaves. Marquetry decoration on a brass background with ivory flowers and horn tinted green, yellow, red and brown tortoiseshell. Original intaglio engraving.
