Keys with this typology are called Romanesque, 11th-12th century. This one comes from Auvergne.
Practically no corrosion, it comes from a rustic forge, hot beaten iron, we can see the tool marks. Ring forged on tip of anvil and folded down, full rod, rectangular profile, which tapers towards the long tip. The large bit, rectangular in shape, attached high on rod, has closed holes: 2 rectangles, a polygon, and 3 teeth.
