MJolifie-Conin was born in Paris in 1929, to a family from Auvergne. He studied art at the Académie de la Section d'Or with Jean Souverbie from 1947 to 1949 and spent two years at the Paul Colin school, a famous painter and poster artist from 1955 to 1957. He paints in watercolor and oil nudes, still lifes, compositions with characters and especially landscapes of the regions where he lived or stayed: Paris, the Chevreuse Valley, the island of Yeu, Cantal and Tarn. He also uses pastel and drypoint. For several years, he has lived and painted in Nantes. His paintings and watercolors Distinctions 1956 Silver medal of the city of Paris. 1960 Gold medal of the city of Taverny. 1966 Silver medal at the Salon des Artistes Français. 1982 First prize of the magazine "La vie du rail" for his "Gare de Limoges" at the 36th Schefer Prize exhibition. 1992 Gold medal of the city of Cholet (painting). 1993 Medal of the Society of Sciences, Letters and Arts of Cholet. 2005 One of Jolifie Conin's paintings "the Saint Felix canal in Nantes" was chosen by CFM international (General Electric) to illustrate the month of June of its 2005 calendar. Twelve painters from different countries illustrated this calendar. CFM international manufactures jet aircraft engines and will send its calendar to all the airlines in the world. Acquisitions The state, the city of Paris, the city of Toulouse, the Museum of Nevers, the Ministry of PTT and several municipalities have purchased his works.
