Henri Picard (1840-1890) Parisian bronzier According to the National Archives, the bronzier Henri Picard, founder and gilder, established himself at 6, rue Jarente from 1831 to 1839 before moving to 10 rue de la Perle until 1864. He supplied decorative objects for the small apartments of Napoleon III at the Louvre. He was known for the quality of his production of table pieces and fireplace fittings, in particular the combination of gilded bronze and silvered bronze. An important pair of twelve-light candelabra by Picard is kept at the Louvre Museum.
