"Watercolor Pierre Noire Adolphe Bachman (attr. To) Young Woman From North Africa Oriental Beauty"
In watercolor, blue pencil strokes, black chalk and white gouache highlights on strong cardboard, beautiful oriental woman with a pouting face, generous curves, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders. She wears dangling earrings in the shape of rings, a large necklace made up of pastilles ending between the breasts with a large plate. Some pastilles take the shape of the crescent of Islam. Attributed to the famous orientalist painter Adolphe Bachman (1880 - 1956). A work of great quality, a perfectly mastered execution, worthy of the greatest artists! A very beautiful blurring work on the face, shoulders... the look is particularly neat... The facial features are really prettier in reality than in the photos! Dimensions: 30 cm x 23.2 cm Good condition. The colors have remained fresh and present. Some foxing. Tiny lack at the bottom left corner without consequence.
