Portrait of a worldly woman, in the mid-19th century in Provence. Pretty and young person painted on an armchair with her back to the Alpilles holding an open book in her hands. Her blue silk dress is decorated with a veil with lace sewn on it. The portrait is in very good condition, but needs a usual restoration and the frame is much more degraded.
