Very beautiful pair of 19th century seascapes, one representing boats, a 3-masted steamboat, and a shipwrecked boat on a rough sea. The other represents sailboats along an eastern coast, perhaps Turkey. These two pretty canvases are highlighted by two cane frames, certainly original. The whole is well preserved, I note two small lacks of pigment on one of the canvases (the edge of the coast) the canvases would need to be cleaned to restore the brilliance of the colors. the frames are also very good, some traces of gluing and old restorations without gravity.
