Rare pastel with incredible light. The format is larger than usual. The work has 2 invisible restorations. They can be found on the back. Paul Lauters, born in Brussels on July 16, 1806 and died in Ixelles on November 12, 1875 (at the age of 69), is a Belgian painter, watercolourist, lithographer, etcher. Paul Lauters trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in the studio of Charles Malaise (1775-1836). He became a professor there in 1848 and notably had as a studentAmédée Lynen around 1872, He devoted his brush to landscape painting and urban scenes. He became known by spreading his work through lithography; we also owe him many book illustrations. Measures with gilded frame 66cm x 80cm
