Paul Lauters, born in Brussels on July 16, 1806 and died in Ixelles on November 12, 1875 (at the age of 69), is a Belgian painter, watercolourist, lithographer, etcher. Paul Lauters trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels in the studio of Charles Malaise (1775-1836). He became a professor there in 1848 and notably had as a studentAmédée Lynen around 1872, He devoted his brush to landscape painting and urban scenes. He became known by spreading his work through lithography; we also owe him many book illustrations. Measures with gilded frame 66cm x 80cm
