"He is recognized as a marine painter, watercolorist in landscapes, seascapes, nudes Self-taught in painting, young he nevertheless already participated in the activities of the group of artists of Roanne continuing this collaboration throughout his life. In 1940, his friendship began with Jean Puy from Roanne, about whom he wrote several times, including the preface to the exhibition at the Déchelette museum in 1976. He also presented a Roger de la Fresnaye exhibition in Charlieu in 1975… …Watercolour was his favourite technique, which was all the more easily practised during his many trips in search of motifs. Although he gradually explored landscape themes, it was seascapes, water and boats that particularly required his greatest attention.
The Roanne museum holds several of his works. »
