Work from the second half of the 19th century, heralding Art Nouveau, certainly English, because of the rose motifs present at the base...
Four candlesticks per unit rise from a sinuous and lively plant interlacing... poppies in buds?...
The tripod base rests on an onyx base surrounded by baroque clasps and rose medallions, in bronze.
The reverse is carefully covered with velvet (original!) Patina of use.
Excellent condition, without loss or restoration. Very high quality work and beautiful decorative dimensions.
