Baluster mug in earthenware with red-brown enamel and relief decoration of oblique ribs highlighted by a frieze of small cabochons. The pewter lid with a spherical thumb is dated 1786 and bears the hallmark of a pewter potter from Breslau (now WROCLAW in Poland): star / CGS and the city hallmark at the W.
Height: 24 cm.

Very good condition The earthenware makers entrusted the manufacture of the hoops and lids to pewter potters, quite generally local, who often affixed their hallmark. The latter can thus help to confirm the location and dating of the potter's activity
