The original model was developed by Giambologna (also called Jean de Bologne, between 1587 and 1589, at the request of François I de Medici to adorn the Tribune of the Uffizi.
Very beautiful Italian or French cast iron from the beginning of the 19th century with its lovely original medal patina.
The later black marble base, a lack on one corner.
