In October 1928, he co-founded the Salon des vrais indépendants where he exhibited until the Second World War. He exhibited in Paris at the Salon d'hiver from 1937 to 1947. There he became the dean of the painters of the Péano, a community of artists established in the Arcenaulx district of Marseille, including among others Pierre Ambrogiani, Antoine Ferrari, Antoine Gianelli, Jo Berto, René Seyssaud, Auguste Chabaud and Antoine Serra.
