"Jacques Duthoo Watercolor And Ink The Matador Or Torero"
Watercolor enhanced with ink depicting the portrait of a matador, signed lower right J.Duthoo, for Jacques Duthoo. Very well framed, under marie-louise, under glass, in a wooden and gilded stucco frame. Dimensions of the work 12x8 cm Total dimensions, with frame, 26.8x22.8 cm Jacques Duthoo, born June 10, 1964 in Tours, is none other than the grandson of the famous abstract painter of the 50s, Jacques Duthoo (1910-1960). Jacques Duthoo has his own identity, his own style that he has been developing since childhood and which makes his works unique and recognizable even without a signature, the best proof of his artistic presence... Whether he uses watercolor or pastel, his characters on the border between abstract and real, often seem mysterious and attract the eye, captivated, as much by the chosen colors as by the black ink line that he likes and which separates these colors by a gesture that we guess is quick but precise and fair. It was in 1992 that he had the opportunity to exhibit for the first time at the Fête des peintres in Chanceaux-près-Loches, (He would repeat the experience every year until 1997). At the same time, Christian Dupont would regularly offer, at the Atelier (Loches), the works of Jacques Duthoo, notably in 1995 for an exhibition that would be entirely devoted to him.
