It was Descartes himself who corrected and revised the French translation of his Meditations by clarifying certain passages that were insufficiently clear in their Latin form''. ( in Guibert). Original edition for De homine figuris; whose printer's mark on the title page shows an angel with a lyre under laurels. ''This original Latin edition was made from a copy of the original French manuscript. It contains 58 figures on wood and copper, including 10 outside the text ''. (in Guibert). We find at the end the French translation of L'Homme; of which this is the second edition; partly original. ''The work contains numerous anatomical and geometric figures on wood'' . (in Guibert). As for the Principia philosophiae, Specimina philosophiae and Passiones animae, ''these works are found in the factitious collection of the Philosophical Works of Descartes (1670-72)''. (in Guibert).
