Important and elegant cartel and its console in rocaille style, Louis XV period, circa 1750, second half of the 18th century. The cartel that we are presenting has a beautiful ornamentation in very finely chiseled gilded bronze decorated with flowers and shredded foliage on a green lacquered background. It has a double chime as well as its original mechanism. These cartels were called "cartel d'applique" and often placed in alcoves. In perfect working order, (later lacquer). Private collection.
