"Paul Comoléra (1813-1890) - Large Rooster In Barbotine "

Superb rooster in barbotine and a sheaf of wheat forming a vase. Made in 1890 by the Choisy-le-Roy factory. Paul Comolera made his debut in 1846 with a group entitled Golden Pheasants of China. Comolera's sculptures are appreciated for their details and precision. Accident present on different parts of the body and the vase (see photo) would deserve a restoration.
