The console jambs take up a molding characteristic of the fireplaces of Nantes from the 18th century adorning the mansions of the shipowners.
The molded shelf follows the movement of the lintel.
This fireplace is presented with painted wooden ribs. These sides are used for presentation. As originally for the majority of fireplaces of this period, the sides will have to be masoned and coated.
