"Sculpture By Auguste Moreau"
Charming subject representing a young woman emerging from the reeds by the sculptor Auguste Moreau (Dijon 1834 - Malesherbes 1917) Third son of the sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Moreau he began sculpture with his older brother Mathurin. In 1861, he made his debut at the Salon and regularly exhibited genre scenes, pastorals and allegories until 1913. Beautiful patina.
