Étienne BOUILLÉ Busy street in a port Oil on cardboard signed lower left. Dimensions: 57 X 44 cm with frame / 45 X 32 cm without frame. The cardboard has been folded, the painting retains marks. Étienne Bouillé, born April 12, 1858 in Villiers-Saint-Benoît and died June 5, 1933 in Perros-Guirec, is a French painter. In Paris, he frequented the workshops of Gérôme and Loir. He settled in Guingamp in 1892 and exhibited his paintings for 30 years in traveling towns in the West. He settled in Perros-Guirec in 1914. His painting is realistic and his subjects are inspired by Brittany, particularly Trégor. He is buried alongside his wife in the Kerreut cemetery in Perros-Guirec.
