Goblet Of Palais Royal, 1st Empire, Engraved By The Famous Charpentier

Beautiful cylindrical goblet with flared rim from crystal, circa 1810-1820, probably from the Montcenis factory, (Cristallerie de l'Impératrice),  underside cut into a star,  base cut of ribs and a band of diamond points, body entirely engraved in a rotating decoration, the upper frieze very characteristic of the glass engraver Charpentier on Palais Royal, (whose widow will open the famous house: "Escalier de Cristal").
Love or wedding glass: the finely engraved scrolling decoration shows the nest of two doves, flames and arrows of love, a curious engraved monogram, G, surrounded by vine branches which give it a surprising inclination.
Dimensions = 10cm and 9 cm. Condition is good. No flaw. see our honest photos,
