A unique mid-century piece by painter, sculptor and designer Louis Smeyers (1923-2009), who signed with Jean Marie. His work has won numerous awards and is collected internationally.

Signed on the lower back.

This terracotta and resin bust with bronze polychromy rests on a black marble foot and the crown of the head lifts to reveal an open space for visiting trolleys.

This was a custom piece made for a gallery and used as such.
