From the Jesuit Collection of Fontaines assembled by the Jesuit Order from 1951 to 1998, the date of its deposit at the Municipal Library of Lyon. Comprising 500,000 documents. The Collection of Fontaines brings together documents from various Jesuit libraries. The main collection comes from the former Jesuit Scholasticate of the Château des Fontaines which was located in Chantilly, hence its name of collection of Fontaines. The cultural center of Chantilly was closed in 1997. The initial core comes from the Library of Jersey, itself from the Library of the Jesuits of Laval initiated in the middle of the 19th century and moved during the expulsion of Congregations in 1880; "Preliminary Dissertation or Prolegomena on the Bible by Messire Louis Ellies du Pin; Doctor of Theology of the Faculty of Paris, and Royal Professor of Philosophy, second Edition. DCC.I (1701) Three beautiful volumes in 8 in their beautiful original binding in full blond calf, pinked edges, ribbed spines decorated with beautiful gilded irons in the boxes, titles and volume numbers in red and olive morocco, "Ex-Libris Bibliothèca SJ Les Fontaines Chantilly and Bib. Dom. Laval SJ" ink stamp on the title a beautiful condition for these books from the Reign of Louis XIV .... And also an interesting text for research on the Bible ....
