This Art Deco panther was made by Michel Découx (1837-1924), a talented and renowned French sculptor, known for his realism and precision in the representation of animals. The work is in silver-plated bronze and rests on a very beautiful onyx base comprising several shades of green and brown. The sculpture has its original silver patina.
