Clovis-Edmond Masson (1838-1913) Mouse with two sugar cubes. Bronze proof with brown patina. The sugar cubes are in alabaster, and the base in veined gray marble. Work produced around 1900. Dimensions with base: Length: 9.3 cm Width: 6 cm Height: 9.5 cm Signed C. Masson Animal sculptor, Clovis-Edmond Masson, student of Antoine-Louis Barye, regularly exhibits at the Paris Salon. The municipal museum of Nîmes has several of his sculptures. The model of the Mouse with two sugars was very successful, as evidenced by its wide distribution.
