Portrait of White Arabian Horses 19th Century Circle of JOHN FREDERICK HERRING (1795-1856) Large 19th century English study of three white Arabian horses, oil on canvas. Excellent quality and good condition study of the heads of three white Arabians. Exceptional study of the details circa 1860 from Herrings Seniors' work 'The Horses of the Pharaohs' symbolising strength, power and freedom. Herring produced more than one version of the work and it is possible that it is by him but more likely by a member of the artists' circle.
