In transparent glass paste, the midnight blue colored decoration is stylized as a wave on a frosted background in a pure art deco style. Signed Legras. Art deco period. Very good condition. Dimensions: H: 23.5 cm D belly: 19 cm D neck: 7.4 cm Master glassmaker from Lorraine, originally from a hamlet in the Vosges. He was first hired as a clerk at the age of 20 in a glassworks located in Saint-Denis (93) then became its director 3 years later. In 1900, he was responsible for the glassworks and crystal section of the Universal Exhibition in Paris. The Legras glassworks, whose name is "Verrerie et Cristallerie de St Denis", will also participate in numerous national and international exhibitions where it will very often be rewarded. Adept of Art Nouveau and plays with glasses of different colors which are superimposed and engraved with acid or on the wheel.
