Created in 1794, the house of Leuchars is renowned for the manufacture of luxury toiletries and goldsmithing. In 1837, it became a supplier to Queen Victoria, thus recognizing the excellence of its production. Winner of a silver medal at the 1867 Universal Exhibition in Paris and then a gold medal in 1878, the firm opened a second store at 2 rue de la Pais in 1870.
